ProtopVA Community is excited to present this new job opportunity for a Part-Time Freight Dispatcher and Marketing Specialist.

SCHEDULE AND PAY RATE

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM CST

• Time Zone: Central Standard Time

• Hours: 20 hours

• Languages Required: English

•Open to: Philippines

• Pay Rate: $3-$4/hr

*Rates are dependent on your experience and skills, determined by ProtopVA.*

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Dispatching & Scheduling

- Assign loads to drivers based on availability, location, and delivery deadlines

- Track and monitor driver progress using GPS or dispatch software

- Ensure timely delivery by proactively addressing potential delays

- Maintain accurate trip logs, load assignments, and dispatch records in spreadsheets or CRM systems

2. Communication & Coordination

- Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, shippers, and customers

- Provide drivers with load details, updated routes, and delivery instructions

- Respond to driver inquiries and offer real-time support for issues on the road

- Update clients and internal teams on delivery status and schedule changes

3. Logistics & Route Optimization

- Plan and optimize routes for fuel efficiency and timely deliveries

- Coordinate with warehouses and clients for smooth pickup and drop-off scheduling

- Use tools like Google Maps, GPS, and logistics platforms to monitor route progress and ETA

- Identify and implement process improvements for overall delivery efficiency

4. Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure all dispatching activities follow DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules

- Collect and file driver logs, trip sheets, fuel receipts, and safety checklists

- Prepare and manage logistics paperwork such as freight bills and invoices

- Maintain digital records in shared drives or cloud-based systems for easy access

5. Problem-Solving & Crisis Management

- Handle unexpected delays, weather issues, or vehicle breakdowns

- Reroute drivers as needed and escalate emergencies using predefined protocols

- Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly

- Support drivers in emergency or high-pressure situations with clear guidance
